Lindsey E. Surratt joined the law firm of Kathleen L. DeBruhl & Associates, L.L.C., in New Orleans, Louisiana, as an associate in 2010.  Ms. Surratt's representation focuses on federal and state regulatory issues, including Medicare Fraud and Abuse, Medicare and Medicaid compliance, physician contracts, private placements of securities, and other corporate healthcare business transactions.

Ms. Surratt is from Randleman, North Carolina, and completed her undergraduate education at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Archaeology, graduated as a member of Gamma Sigma Alpha Greek Honor Society, and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.  Ms. Surratt graduated cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2010 with Certificates in Civil and Common Law.  In law school, Ms. Surratt was named a William L. Crowe, Sr. Scholar, was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, and received the Lanasa Greco Providence Law Scholarship.  She was an active member of the Loyola Moot Court Program, competing as an oralist on the Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Team and the National Moot Court Team, coaching the Cultural Heritage Law Moot Court Team, and serving as a teaching assistant for first year Moot Court classes.  Ms. Surratt also placed first in the Loyola Moot Court Tournament for first year law students, earning the J. Skelly Wright Award for Exceptional Oral Advocacy.
